Position Title Senior Geotechnical Manager
Description The Sr. Geotechnical Manager will lead Geosoft’s Geotechnical & Geophysical Division, providing high-level technical expertise, project support, and strategic direction across all entities. With 15+ years of experience, including leadership as Head of Department, the role requires deep expertise in geotechnical software analysis, data interpretation, and advanced geophysical methodologies. This is a technical leadership role, responsible for establishing best practices, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and driving innovation across the division.

Minimum Qualification
  • Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, Member of relevant professional bodies) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical/geophysical software (e.g., PLAXIS, Seismic software analysis).
  • Strong technical expertise in site investigation methods, soil-structure interaction, and seismic/geophysical data analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of international geotechnical design codes/standards.
Professional Skills
  • Proven leadership as Head of Department (HoD) of Geotechnical & Geophysical functions.
  • Demonstrated track record in large-scale oil and gas infrastructure, foundations, and ground improvement projects.
  • Extensive background in data interpretation, risk assessment, and technical reporting.
Experience 15+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage the division, ensuring technical excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Provide specialist guidance and oversight on projects, simulations, and analyses.
  • Develop and enforce methodologies, standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Mentor engineers and build team capability.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and adoption of innovative geotechnical practices.
  • Strong leadership, analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
